Weather & Proposed Time of Year

We propose to host the event in late October. This will allow for a good range of wind conditions, while ensuring that the temperatures are still comfortable (indeed, quite warm for most of the competitors). As this is after Bermuda’s busy summer season, flights and accommodation will be more available. Also, this timing allows most North American and European sailors to enjoy a full season of 505 sailing before shipping their boats to Bermuda.
